Welcome to Waylon Recordings...

SLACKS live at Union Pool, Brooklyn.

Welcome to Waylon Recordings' home on the blogosphere. The label was founded by Christian McKenna (Slacks, Empty Flowers, 1965, Translation Loss Records) and Randy Larsen (Empty Flowers, Slacks, Cable), two gentlemen with way too much money and time on their hands. Mr. McKenna and Mr. Larsen figured what better way to invest all this disposable income than in the lucrative and thriving music industry. They are solely interested in releasing trendy, hip bands that will make money.

Waylon's first release, in conjunction with Translation Loss, is the latest extended play from Pennsylvania rock band SLACKS (featuring the co-owners of Waylon Recordings). Devotion of Climbing was engineered and produced by Joel Hamilton at Studio G in Brooklyn, NY. The album will be released on October 12th, 2010 and available through Translation Loss, iTunes and wherever else you might steal your music from.

Be sure to bookmark Waylon and keep an eye out for upcoming releases from Philadelphia's Serpent Throne and Total Fucking Destruction, featuring grind legend Rich Hoak of Brutal Truth.

Thanks in advance for your time (and money).

With Warm Regards,

Waylon
